CELC celebrates students and teachers with 'Cubtastic' Assembly

Congratulations to everyone that was recognized during Canyon Early Learning Center's (CELC) December 'Cubtastic' Assembly!

The Cubtastic Assemblies at CELC are being held as part of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Initiatives (PBIS).

Students are selected by their teacher and instructional aids based on achievement in one of the following areas: showing outstanding kindness, being super respectful, being an amazing friend or tremendous academic effort in the first semester.

Staff were selected by the CELC PBIS team as examples of being Cubtastic in attitude, action and effort. Parents and families gathered at the event to support their kids as they were recognized as 'Super Students'

Director Expanded Learning Programs and Principal Tom McFadden said it's crucial to hold these kinds of events at the CELC, "We want to celebrate students and staff who are displaying the attitude and actions that reflect our Behavior Standards and Interpersonal skills approach in the Preschool," he said. "We believe celebrating staff on their contributions to CELC help create a 'Cubtastic' learning environment for the students."
